JOB SUMMARY:     The candidate is required to have strong analytical capabilities along with excellent oral and written communication skills; and would be required to perform a range of testing of samples for export and local interests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Performs a wide range of testing of samples for export and local interests
·         Oversees testing of samples by trained Medical Technologist and Medical Technologist in training
        Contribute to the design and implementation of a research project to inform investors about  agricultural products
        Aggregate and analyze existing research, resources, and data related to agricultural products. This will require identification of appropriate databases, data management, and quantitative economic analysis using a variety of statistical, mathematical programming, and database software packages
        Identify key risks and regional impacts associated with the supply chains for agricultural products and highlight leading practice examples and frameworks for addressing commodity-specific impacts
        Clearly present research details and findings in written form through development of technical memos and, in collaboration with the Project Leader, a final report for publication
        Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, project team members, and other collaborators
        Independently manage time and resources to meet deadlines and adhere to project budget
        Contribute to development of grant and contract proposals as needed
        Assist with other projects on a limited, as-needed basis to ensure compliance with deadlines

Job Summary

This position exists within the Department of Communication Studies and reports to the Chair. The incumbents will be required to:

Qualification and Experience 

Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree or Doctoral degree from an accredited university and practical experience in the area of media and/or communication.

Job Summary


Contribute to the delivery of teaching of appropriate social work modules to undergraduates ensuring that students have the opportunity to be engaged and challenged.

  • Development of syllabus and learning materials as appropriate, in accordance with University policy and processes.

  • Design the appropriate assessment methods and complete marking assignments ensuring standards are maintained and timescales adhered to.

  • Contribute to the enriching of the student experience by ensuring support and guidance is provided to students. 

  • Engage in research and scholarship activity including publication and application for research funding.

Qualification and Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s in Social Work with at least three years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level.

This position resides in the School of Religion and Theology, and the successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate and post-graduate courses in Old Testament.  The candidate is expected to foster a culture of research in the exegesis of Holy Scripture with special reference to the study of the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible, and to be active in applying for research funding.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a PhD in Old Testament with emphasis in Hebrew Theology and the Study of the Hebrew Language.

  • Demonstrable plans for an on-going research agenda which will result in further substantial publications of recognised international quality.

Qualifications and Experience Required

The ideal candidate for this position should have an earned doctoral degree in Education with seven years of teaching experience at the University level, expertise in at least one research orientation, and experience chairing and guiding the thesis and dissertation process.

The ideal candidates should have:

  • demonstrated ability to design and effectively teach graduate level courses
  • experience working in low and/or middle income countries.
  • an ability and desire to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary group of colleagues
